Thread: Blocking Gun City from TM

Hi guys, wasn’t sure if the right thread to ask on but I know most of us visit here.

Has anyone figured out a way to block GC on Trade me so you don’t see there adds/listings? An example I’ll give - Looking at used shotguns you have to sift through 400 odd listings of there’s to see 100 odd privately used shotguns for sale.

Any help appreciated

Good luck it won't work long term

Multiple stores so you need to block them all
Second hand goods seem to get around the blocks
Some of the blocking functions have eroded over time on TME
Why would TradeMe allow you to block one of their biggest clients ?

Their was a thread on this a couple years ago try search it I remember it getting lots of attention

Who cares if GC on TM,everybody has good deals sometimes.More competition the better.

I think some guys just get pissed off at scrolling through 1000 rifle listings and 75% are Gun City and apart from a few junk $1 listings the bulk of them are 200% or more, of market value

But we still go back to the Gun City listings to compare the prices being asked by the private sellers as to whether we are getting a bargain or not....we on this forum are a minority as judging by the GC listings many still trade through their stores.

Not always....I have scored some cracking good deals both on trademe and instore

Would be nice if Trademe had better search functions so you could filter to your hearts content. You can blacklist the accounts but that removes them completely.

It's not just the firearms part of TM that has turned this way. PC parts are the same, all just stores. Fuck all private sellers.

Ffs guys time to move on, I'm locking this thread, it has been described multiple times here and in other threads how you can filter searches on trademe. If you have concerns or issues about a retailer take it up with them personally or on the phone this is not a soap box for you to continually slag off retailers no matter who they are
