BLR Trigger Job Report.
Hi team,
Promised an update.
Finally got round to sending my blr lightning 7mm08 down to Zac in Christchurch for a trigger job on recommendation from the team here.
Game changer.
Left with a stiff 5 to 6 lb factory trigger.
Came home tuned up and big improvement at clean break 2.5lb which or the blr and lever is awesome. It's no sako but what a difference.
The gearing came back mint and timed perfectly too.
Got him to shorten it to 18.5, thread and set my suppressor up while he was it. Good workmanship.
Great service, good coms, price and top bloke.
Send your blr triggers to Zac and ask him about any other work you need.
All the best,

Bloody great to know, had one years ago and always wanted another but the trigger pull has always put me off, thanks for the info.

The BLRs horrible trigger spoils an otherwise neat little gun, and to think I used one for 25 years as my main hunting rifle.
I do remember it being a bitch to sight in but strangely never noticed the trigger when shooting at a deer.
Good to know they can be improved.

Did my BLR when I had it. Massive improvement and correctly timed action. Someone had had a previous go and got wrong. BLR internals are a dark art...lucky to have him round the corner for gunsmithing.

when i pullled apart by BLR for bluing i photoed everything, reassembly was done by magnetising the mech so it stuck together in a "timed order". reassembled the rifle then a quick de-mag and perfection
