If you look at the SDSs most carbon cleaners include kerosene, as does hoppes 9.

I agree that Eliminator is not a suitable corrosion protectant. I flush it out with isoprop after I've done with Eliminator/Autosol.
I flush using Brakleen. Used to use meths in days of old. Also blasts my brushes clean. Buy Brakleen when it's on special in a 6 pack :-)Quote:

Which is awesome but discontinued but a good mate has a 25ltr drum of it and sells it to me by the 500ml bottle which lasts years as a few drops is all you need to do both inside and out of a firearm
