Just took it to the range, and all the ammo fired (Norma and FIOCCHI) and extracted fine. But if I put in a casing in after it has been fired an hour later it will not extract it unless I try like 10 times. If I try the snapcaps it works everytime no issue.
I did mention to them how I was not sure how it was the Sako ammunition when half of it shot just fine, but yeah. I am a bit puzzled.
Take it back and find out what is going on.nothing worse than that nagging feeling, will it extract or not??? I carry a short metal rod, actually my sharpening steel and it will slide down .277 barrel with ease and pop out stuck case... Still not 100% sure why I had issues but I've dropped charge a bit and given chamber a good clean n polish ,no issues since.

Just went to the range to test extraction with unfired rounds, it extracted everytime. Fired 10 rounds and extracted every single one. I could not get it to fail to extract. Confused now, seems to have sorted itself out.
Had a new Remington 700 sendero 300wn mag with a big groove in chamber.
New tikka car in 223, mags were shit.
All factories have problems.
Failed to extract a unfire live round again, recorded it and took it back to Gun city and asked for a replacement but was told it has to go to the supplier now. Out another 2 weeks or so without the rifle. Fun times.
Seems like a refund is the best option....not fit for purpose.
The early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese....
not a good look for gun city..... someone should have stepped up and made the executive decision to just replace it .....
what's that old saying "one happy customer tells one or two people , one unhappy customer tells 10 or 20".......and being aired on a hunting and shooting forum just compounds it for them...
replacement or money back is the order of the day
It appears Gun$hitty need to be reminded of their obligations under the consumer guarantees act.
Get a refund. then buy somewhere else.

For once I agree with you...

Im no a gunsmith but could the breech be machined incorrectly? allowing the case to expand to much and cause jamming?
Am i correct that it happens with fired rounds? or at random?
has this been discussed? If so, then I'll sit back down.
