Here's a video of a round loaded in via the mag, I tried to extract and it doesn't and then I record attempts to extract and it does not till fired, and the remaining rounds extract without issue. - https://youtube.com/shorts/EpetJDj3FE8

Perhaps - The GC person from ChCh on this forum, might like to get involved. He's done some decent stuff for folks on this forum. Come on, Gun City get it together. This treatment is just OFF.
Again....to extract a round or case, drop thin steel rod down from muzzle end to "tap" the case out..... You definitely SHOULDN'T have to do this with a new rifle and factory rounds BUT it will get you out of the shit. @Coote

Just an update on this from what I've seen. The first time this was brought into GC we couldn't replicate the problem. We tried about 5 or 6 different brands of ammo both fired and unfired and just didn't have a failure. This is always annoying as it just doesn't always give a good resolution.
Since I saw on this thread you'd brought it back in I thought it best I get involved and see if I can get the process sorted ASAP. I went and grabbed the rifle and spent about 45mins myself in the bullet trap with it and I think I've figured what is going on. I could only get it to fail on Sako ammunition but once I found it failing I could get it to do it pretty regularly. What it's doing is that the extractor is getting stuck at full extension as it's going over the rim of the case. I couldn't work out what it's getting stuck on, probably a small burr or somesuch in the housing but that doesn't really matter.
I've personally given the rifle over to our freight team and it's just been picked up by the courier to back to NIOA. They're just down the road at Rolleston so it should be with them within a day or two. I've called them and they are expecting it to get it sorted ASAP. I'll ring them as soon as it's delivered and give them the full story. I'll give you a call too and go over what you would like to happen and we'll get it sorted as soon as we can.
Sorry about the hassle. It's always frustrating with intermittent problems like these.
well done that man
Good on you @Coop
