How would this work? Pete my old work mate now living in aus is going to buy a rifle(sako) and send it to me to look after for the social club trips(bummer he is a lefty ) he/we would like the burris eliminator on it as he aint ever going to dial and I think it would suit.
So Sako tapered dove tail to I guess a rail? this is what the eliminator is designed to mount to?
    Help please.

Sopos I could use HF AC Tig and ally bronze to stick the I assume alloy scope to the s/s action but was kind of hoping for a less permanent fixing

Why do you need a rail? Why cant you just use medium or high rings?

Aren't they like $1700? It'd be way cheaper and better to just buy a normal scope and a rangefinder and make him a simple drop chart saying "hold over 1 foot at 300 meters"

Money not really an issue he is working in aus
I did think about a luepy and boon an crocket but they simply dont work unless you use a real low bc factory round. With any sort of tipped pill handloaded to decent vel they dont match the curve.(with a .308 anyway) Hold over is an arse especially for a novice.

    There must be a way.

Otherwise I guess it will be sighted in 2.5 inch high @ 100 aim at the big bit to 300

I guess I could get a load sorted for it,validate drops at say 600ASL and get a CDS made.

Dont worry bout the gay drops these reticles come with.... Go online and get the realworld drops the lines work out too and make your own dropchart to suit the rewticle....

Thats what I did with a burris scope even converted all the yardages and inches moas to MIL and shot accurately to about 650m.........

I hear ya bob but you have to remember he will most likely fire one shot a year. Trying to remember the first bar down is 332y 2nd is 445y on 12.35 power is gonna confuse the hell out of him.

Would be great for him fireing one shot a year if he could line up, push the button, light comes on aim here, job done.
