Thread: Bushy , specials

there are deals on the Bushnell LRHS , 3-12x44mm , FFP , G2H reticle , zero stop , scope , made for hunters , its a 30mm tube , good glass etc , made in the same Japanese factory as the Night Force are .

When it came out , it was 1500 , and 200 guys snapped them all up , now you can find them for 1100 or less , I have ordered one .

Be aware the para is 50yds and not the 7yds as advertised .

I wish someone other than Bushnell would make something like it. Without the ring around the reticle.

I wish , you could still buy old school 1.5-6x42mm marksmen S&Bs , and Kahles 6x42 & 10x42 ZFs , and Swaro ZFMs , Opps .

The elevation turret is a single turn 10 mil knob , which is heaps for most hunting .

I think this scope has a very useful & practical set of features , and YES I pause when I hear its a Bushy , BUT as I said , guys have spent 1500 and been happy with it , and its actually made by a high quality Japanese company thats also makes scopes for Night Force & others .

We maybe need to remember that Bushy althou thought of as a low quality maker , has recently designed some neat stuff , and has scopes made in quite a few places around the world , at a wide range of price points , and as long as its high spec is matched with actual high grade manufacture , then I am very interested .

If I get mine , I will post my thoughts of it , good or bad .

So far the ONLY bad comment has been the side focus/para knob , goin only down to 50yds , instead of the original spec of 7yds ( 20 feet ) .

Yeap , should have it in a few days , just paided the GST on it .

I played with one last week in the US.
It's not a bad scope overall
The evaluation turret is bloody huge.. Not quite but almost feels like a jam jar lid LOL the knob style is like all the other old Bushnells - yuck!
The reticle is 'busy'... A little confusing to be honest- it's like they have tried to combine 3 diff types into 1... From LR to like a 5 MOA donut with hash marks everywhere.
The glass is quite nice... Infact very nice... Zero stop is cool, but the clicks weren't to my liking. I prefer a heavy positive like a NF.. Certainly above average feel though.
Windage turret under a cover... Not my cup of tea.... BUT I LOVE how the Windage adjust has R or L in front of each number.. Very cool.

I'll never buy one as don't like FFP or Mil

Bushnell have brilliant backup too. Even if bought overseas.

Just got mine , after NZ Post had it for 2 weeks , thats quick service .

1st Pics , the reticle I like it much better than I thought I would , it has very heavy bars , so even at 3x , your eye is drawn to the center , and the donot of death , its much better than I thought as well ,as its not as thick as I thought it would be , so far the only minus , is has been stated overseas , as it originally was speced to have a 10yd parallex , its a 50m on the actual scope , so it does not suit air rifles , if it did , then it would be a very good do all , air rifle , rimfire , center fire .
As it is , its a bloody good center fire scope , and will do most things .
For those , that have a fear of FFP , I think some of them need to actually use one a bit , mayeb then , they would have a more informed view of them , maybe Greg Duley would even give it a chance ( ie unbiased ) , Opps , NO , not going by the lop sided review he did of the other Bushy FFP scope .
Is it prefect no , but to me its a lot of scope for the price , and it will find use on a number of rifles .
