We have three in 243 and they are all shooters. The third one was to be a parts machine as it cost little more than a new mag. Shot too well to part out.

Desert Eagle .44 Magum
I had a go on one when I was 25,bought on at 34 .What a pile of shit. I paid extra for "Satin Nickle "Finnish. It only ran reliably with Magtech ammo or ++P reloads.Plus it was a amazing "wanker magnet" at the range.Mainly because when using it I must have resembled one of them.
Churchill 270
I know I know:sick:
Could not hit shit with it. Bolt was a real bitch to! Really hard to cock and had a trigger you needed a hammer to set off.
Looked nice but only lasted two trips....weekend trips :yuush:
Embarrassed to say, but once brought a Remington 770 . Kept it for a moth ,tipped a couple of deer but moved on via tardme for minimum financial loss, thank fuk.
CZ452 trainer, after a extremely unnecessary trip to pick it up and finding out the owner had a Norinco magazine for it (that required a yea spoon to remove), I finally got a chance to shoot it.
Fired 2 shoots and thought, why on earth did I buy this.
Sold it a week later and bought a 452 American instead.
Didn't loose any money and ended up with the rifle I shouldve bought in the first place.
Other one certainly took a lot longer to realise, but I shouldve spent a bit more and bought a 11-87 instead of my Remington 870.
IMO pump guns are shit. I'll replace it some day, probably with a underover, just to go to the other end of the spectrum.
Miroku shotgun. Beautiful gun that shot beautifully, but entirely unsuited to what I needed.
Firearms Co. Alpine Model bolt action in 308, trying to sight it in and had to get closer and closer to get on paper, eventually did... at 20mtrs and it was 15cm high. Looked like the mounts had been "customised" with a hand file.
I shimmed it to get it shooting roughly in the right direction but wouldn't group for shit. Still got it, I'll fix it one day, honest!
@veitnamcam - how long ago did you have the issues with the 44mag Rossi? thinking of getting one in the near future and worried there might be a dud batch come in?
Had a Savage Mod.12-VLP in .204 a few years back...
Lovely to fire, accurate (once it was recrowned to fix the previous owners horrible hack-job of threading it), but at 10lb bare weight with a 26" truck axle barrel it wasn't even remotely suited to the hunting I was doing, walking the hills for rabbits/goats/wallabies.
Didn't lose any money on it at least, sold it for a more sensible sporter weight 223 which shoots just as well.
Come to think of it, I have had pangs of buyers remorse for every single bolt action hunting rifle I have purchased
I might have a doozy regarding this thread shortly.
Hopefully not. But I will know in a week or 2

No mate. The new one was purchased off a forum member that I know personally and has vast amounts of integrity.
The firearm in question was not purchased from a member.
As I said, I am not yet regretting it but I may do if something is not resolved fairly.

Come on then , out with it
Ah. Shouldn't have posted. I am just fuming and certainly dont think properly when this angry.
As I said. If not resolved fairly I will post something. Photos and all.
If resolved fairly I will say nothing as it won't do any good either way.

Fair.
Well here's to hoping you don't post anything about it then.
An 85 finlight. Nothing at all wrong with it but had no appeal, no character, and the tikka in the same cartridge shot just as well at less than the half the price. Carried it for a couple of deer then sold it to a mate. he loves it.
I just avoided buyers remorse at an auction earlier this week, got beaten into second place.
@P38 Will be here soon as hes off to the Florida gun show:P
the hornet is a deadly little thing in the right hands
What about scopes....
vortex viper HS great build but less than average optics
vortex PST 4-16 couldnt see rabbits at 16x power I could see with my 8x binos
Bushnell Elite 4.5-30 dissapointing past 20x
Clearidge 4.5-22 better than the Bushnell...
Sighton S-Tac 4-20 should have known better at US $350
Meopta HTR 6.5-20 Well Meopta sure know how to f..k up one of the best scopes out there!
Zeiss Conquest HD5 5-25 HD yeah right...optics on par with the old MC but tunnel view, dumb zero stop, 5 oz heavier
The only one I'm happy with so far is my Conquest MC 6.5-20 with the No 20 reticle. But I have a second one with No 43 reticle that does not focus as sharply! and sent a third one back that also didnt focus properly and had a foreign object inside it!.
Probably going to regret the Nikon X1000 I have just ordered as well...when will I lean...never as you just have to take a punt because you cant trust anyone of the manufacturers to deliver what they promise and its almost impossible to actually go into a gunshop in NZ and try before you buy with optics.
The only buyers remorse I have is not buying the ones I should of when I had the chance.
However I do have truck loads of sellers remorse :oh noes:
On a brighter note I had one of these turn up at my Hotel yesterday :)
Attachment 74383
The US Postal Service Rocks
Took two days from the time I ordered it to the time the front desk notified me I had a package arrive, came half way across the country too.
Cheers
Pete
No regrets for me , but some for the guy who turned up yesterday with a semi auto, off trade me, would not cycle , just about dented the shell, wrong magazine ( it was filled to fit) apparently going back on trade me, so watch out for a tiger stripped.22 ( stripes burn,t in with a blow torch )
A walther G22. Didn't like cci ammo, But loved that cheap federal bulk stuff. Absolute prick to clean and when I pulled it apart to give it a thorough once over you realised the German engineers are assholes. Tiny springs that love to shoot out everywhere even when your expecting it so i had a great thought after painfully putting it back together I'd order some spare parts just in case I loose those shitty springs and Lord behold. Can't find anything or anyone that supplys parts. Oh and if you order some from walther in Germany you may or may not get them. SOLD it and bought a marlin 795 fricken love that gun.
