    cAnty scope mounting

I just had a revelation . For all those who have trouble mounting scopes without canting them ..............I just sat at the table and aimed my rifle at the mirror on the wall 10 feet away , if I put the cross hairs in the middle of the objective lens and if the scope is not level ( on the gun ) then the vertical cross hair wont pass thru the centre of the bore ..... as you look at the reflection in the mirror ( screwed the AO down to 10m )

If everyone else thought of this ages ago...............keep it to yourself

Whoo hoo ! Im fucking brilliant , I knew it , Mum knew it , ( not so much Dad.............or any of my teachers ...or bosses , defence lawyers ect...... ah fuckem what do they know )
seriously tho a good rest would be a must , and the only reason I noticed was coz mine aint level . I have long had issues levelling scopes and have come dangerously close to buying a colminator a few times.
Sorry Gibo , not very clear was I . I set the adjustable objective to the closest setting ( in my case 10 metres ) so that the reflected image was as in focus as I could get it

It's how a Browning employee bore-sighted the x-bolt he got as part of his bonus. Apparently sighted in the bathroom mirror across the hall from his office. It's findable on one of the U.S. forums, but sorry, can't recall which one. So good on you for doing it, but sorry, you're not the first.
I used to have a handle on Life - but it broke.
