    Checkering tools

I have a new (old ) rifle arriving in a couple of weeks
I’d like to tidy up the checkering and redo the woodwork with an oiled finish
The last one I did, GaryP was kind enough to lend me his set of tools.
However I’d like to buy a couple of cutters and a handle, cos I’m pretty sure that
Some other rifle will follow me home in the future
Any clues as to the best place to buy ?
Wifey and I are in Melbourne in 3 weeks, any suggestion's ?
    Thanks guys.
He nui to ngaromanga, he iti to putanga.

You depart with mighty boasts, but you come back having done little.
Sounds like a typical hunting trip !

Dembart closed down a couple of years ago unfortunately

There’s a few on EBay but the company ceased production

I've seen a mention on the net a few times about making checkering tools from old files. I've never tried this but did pick up a few old files with the intention of trying it out in the future.

If you're in Melbourne then Mialls would be worth a look, even if they don't have any. Also O'Reillys in Thornbury

Outdoor Supplies leave up everything they've ever stocked on their web site to get hits and hope you buy something else

Or let you buy a whole swag of out of stock items then refund you. Their credit card processing fees for all of that must be terrible.

It's a pointless website and not worth visiting.
