    Cheek rest/riser

    What are people using?
Looking at the accu long range on the yellow sight or something similar along these lines. Not after a bag riser looking to keep it clean.
    Cheers

I use leather, cut to cheekpiece / monte carlo shape and glue it onto stock with Ados. Easy to remove at any time with a bit of white spirits. Does no damage and leaves no mark. Can use multiple layers if needed, and when polished with nugget are quite attractive.

Foam and duct tape on one rifle, and a 3d printed cheek riser on another.

I got a custom carbon fiber jobbie made for the Mcmillan Hunters Edge stock of my 338, works & looks mint

I also just installed a KalixTeknik adjustable unit on a T3X, had good instructions, mounting sticker, but was a messy prick of a thing, drill holes in the stock plastic everywhere but once it's in it's pretty good. Nice, clean & works well. Worth a look if using a synthetic stock.
Shoot it, root it & then BBQ it !!!

I had a similar issue, when shooting prone, I couldn't get a decent cheek weld.
I thought about sponge rubber taped on, but cleanup of the sticky shit from the tape on the stock if I ever took it off put me off. So I got one of those slip on shell holders and slid a thinnish layer of foam under it to suit. Works great and if I take it off to sell or whatever, no damage to the stock finish.

I did a cheap DIY job using a bit of PVC pipe and a couple of furniture screws and knobs to suit.

I was using cardboard and duck-tape on my rifle but I only use use it for shooting steel. Brought on of the units you are looking at on trade me it has double-sided tape but it needed a screw to secure it to the stock permanently so its that with duck-tape as I did not want to damage the stock.

I have just done the same thing to my tikka.
Easy to install and a very well engineered piece of kit.
    Available through nz ammo.
I did have a velcro attached one that worked very well and had 5 cartridge holders and a little zip up pouch which was handy as well.

Used a length of grey pipe insulation foam tubing with a suitable wedge cut out for the top edge of the stock. Have tried different attachment methods, some not great for the varnish. Hot melt glue blobs not bad as peel off OK. The bare foam is very light, but especially if you have cheek stubble it's crackling in your ears.

Next time I'm going for the shell holder thingamebob suggested by @kidmac42, maybe still with piece of foam riding on the top edge of the stock.
