grossly overpriced for what you get, i was considering a chiapa lever action 22lr till i found out it was a cast zinc receiver.
get a marlin papoose or a 10/22 takedown. wouldnt touch the henry takedown either, looks real nasty

Yup. Went bang and was reasonably accurate at 25m for what the sights are.

Edit: And yes, you're not getting much for the money. As above, a papoose or a 10/22TD. I think it could be a goer to modify a savage rascal too. They are so little and light. Take the action out of the stock and fab up something else lightish and perhaps foldable, but with a little more length than the standard item (made for kiddies)? No mag well to worry about either, just a folded bit of aluminium or something

I've got one, very happy with it. Way quicker to deploy than the Marlin papoose, Ruger 10/22 takedown or Ar7 I had. Downside is its only a single shot, but then again you should only need one shot, right? :-?
Trigger was very good right out of the box, miles ahead of any of the above mentioned take down rifles. I use mine with a Bushnell TRS25 red dot, and run a compact suppressor. Removed the bottom rail off the receiver so that it folds down a little more than standard. Accuracy is good using the red dot, not sure how it would shoot using the open sights, they're very cheap looking and don't inspire confidence.

Yep I've got one and would agree with Rugers comments above. They are tiny little things but everyone who has a go with it loves it, its great for kids and ladies as they can handle it easily.

It's quite accurate with the compact scope I have on it, I never bothered with the open sights as they do look like junk, the rest of the rifle seems well made. Beware that the thread is not the standard 1/20 that most 22's have so you might need a new suppressor too.

I've owned a papoose and Browning take down and think the Chiappa is way more fun and practical. I wouldn't use it as a main 22 but for a pack gun it's the best
