Gidday Guys. The other day I was looking over rifles out of a collection and one jumped out that bought back memories. It was a very tidied up Springfield 1903, probably sporterised, although there were sold as sporters too.
But what got my attention was the stock, it was a very good (almost certainly a copy) example of the stock style initiated by Wundhammer, later copied by just about all the US custom and semi gunmakers like Packmeyer and Sedgely etc. The rifle is for sale but it's not mine to photograph or even offer really, but I'm happy to put anyone interested in touch with the vendor. Here is an article about this style. https://sportsafield.com/2021/the-19...field-sporter/ Cheers
