Costly mistake

I have a Tikka t3 barrel in an older sako action in 223 waitaki engineering did the job works fine

Haha yep, I have same deal, originally going to fit to a Sako Vixen/AI then I moved idea onto a 75 but when I pulled the barrel, different size !

Yip I now have a sako 85 with a tikka barrel fitted had to be re threaded set back and reamed got recrowned and bead blasted all done by Dpt and back in few days very happy with job done

There's a saying in engineering (Fitters mainly) "If it doesn't fit you need a bigger hammer. If it breaks, it needed replacing anyway."

The xs thread is just under M24x 1.5mm.
