Yep, odds are the shorter length will make for a much smoother shooter, just flagging the potential for problems. As you said, all fixable, but potentially a pain if you aren't aware of them or the easy fix (suppressor).

I tested my own 12.5" carbine length NEA with ODL Samson Titanium suppressor today. Superb! Sounds like a 22 rimfire. Suppressor goes back over barrel to the gas block and sits nice under the handguard.

Im thinking the shorter barrel is going to fuck my Dpt modular can in no time tho, the problem with that can is you can open it up and have a look inside at the wear. on my other cans Im blissfully unaware of how fucked they are

Took it out for a quick play this evening to see if it would run well and see how it would all go with the shorter barrel.
Flawless operation, such a joy to shoot, louder than before, hellishly fun to play with.
Put a target up at 100m to see how it runs and shot five shots at over a rest

before I get to that point ill check that the gas block is properly aligned and tight, as it worked fine yesterday
and I bloody like those hornady training rounds

Is this with your suppressor on or off? If it is with the suppressor on, and it isn't a gas-block alignment problem, then you'll probably need to get the gas hole enlarged.Quote:
