Dirty suppressor effect accuracy?

I have a 22 mag DPT suppressor that I use on both my 22lr and my 17hmr, I must have put 1000+? shots (mostly 22lr) through it and haven't cleaned it at all.

Does anyone know if it being dirty is likely to effect performance in any way?
It still works great with subs but based on how filthy my action gets with a few hundred 22 rounds I wouldn't like to think how dirty the suppressor is.
I can't really be bothered to unscrew it all, and it probably wont unscrew anyway, so if it does need cleaning what the best way to do it?

A easy way to clean a can is a ultrasonic cleaner, the crap that comes out of a .22lr can has to be seem to be believed.

But up until a point having the crud can dampen the ringing from the can.

I would think that the only affects on accuracy would be from changing harmonics as the can gets heavier as it fills up with crud(likely very small), or if the crud built up to the point that rounds are touching it

1k is only two bricks so isn't that many for a .22 but it does add up over time. The other noticeable effect is that your suppressor slowly gets heavier.

cant be bothered to unscrew the 5 baffles and clean it but you can be bothered putting up a post about how to clean it?
i recomend you take it to a gunsmith and pay them to do it for you.

I knew that'd be coming. Last time I tried to unscrew it was so tight that it required parts to be heated to expand the aluminium. Plus it doesn't take long to start a thread.

I suppose I was more interested in people cleaning methods for suppressors, or if they'd experienced accuracy dropping off as they dirtied their suppressors.

Shoot some groups, see if they're similar to what you used to get. That'll tell you whether accuracy has deteriorated or not.

bite the bullet, get it disassembled and then lighly greese the threads each time it is cleaned and it will not seize again.
or do like any sealed suppressor and shoot it untill its so full of crap it dosent work anymore then replace.
you cant really clean them internally if you cant pull it apart.

When I got my Gunworks suppressor, Robbie said not to touch it till I've put 10 000 rnds through it. Then take it back for him to strip and clean.
Sounds good to me. Probably only 1/4 of the way there.....but I'm working on it.

Some guys overdo this cleaning rubbish, I've been guilty of it in the past.
I've seen a HRE can with 25,000 through it still shooting sub moa
