Slip jaw pliers and a rag to stop the pliers damaging the suppressor surface has worked for me in the past. Additionally place one section in a vice with a rag if needed and same again use the slip jaws to undo it. Be careful not to over tighten it or anything silly. If it’s too bad you’re probably better sending it to DPT for some love.

There is/was a thread or two on this issue previously. I don’t think mk1 and mk2 baffles are interchangeable. To remove baffles, get two decent hose clamps. Wrap suppressor in (say) soft leather. Clamps then screw onto separate baffles. Using the bolt part of one clamp, fit it tightly in vice jaws. Using a drift or similar, tap the head of the other clamp bolt so as to undo thread. It works. Don’t clamp actual tube in vice or you’ll crush it. I put a fine smear of grease on baffle threads before reassembly. Secret is to disassemble can after every shoot and spray with crc or carb clean or…. Remember to re-grease threads.

I think DPT offer a clamp set for this purpose?

I’ve used the two hose clamps, with some corrugated cardboard under the clamps. I clean with WD40 after firing, and just loosen all the baffles after a hunt if I haven’t fired a shot

DPT have clamp spanners for sale. Two in a set. Work a treat and no marks. Mk.1 and Mk.2 have different dia baffles.

Once you do get this undone I’d recommend doing as the manufacturer says and clean after every shoot.
WD40 the threads and you won’t have any trouble.
    It’s really not that hard
It's all fun and games till Darthvader comes along

As they get shot they get hot, and work up tight. The clamp thing does work, but equally heating the female part of the thread with a hair dryer or heat gun and they come right apart.

People have the same problem with chokes in shotguns.

I just leave a light smear of grease in the threads, don't disasemble after every firing, rather just leave the baffles 1/4 turn loose while stored. works a treat.

    Hi Sig4x4,
If the home made clamp do not work, yes you will have to resort on using our factory made clamps.
I see that a good guy has offered his help with his set of clamps.
What ever clamps you are using make sure that they are nor sitting right over the female part of the threading of the baffle otherwise it will not work.
I hope that makes sense. You can call us at our office hours if you need further help.
