Just wondering how well these methods actually last. On a real firearm(not a display piece that gets carried around like a baby) im a car painter and have been doing my own and mates guns using automotive paints with ceramic clears. And they seem 2 last pretty good. Both stocks and barrels/receivers. But they do chip occasionally with a decent whack on a rock. Just wondering if these other coatings do the same as I am doing them at a fraction of the cost
Milspec wears off metal parts. I made the mistake of leaning a (milspec coated) rifle on a fence wire, of course it slid running along the length of the barrel and in the process it removed a strip of the coating. That area always attracted rust from that point on.
I'd be keen as to see some of your work (photo's) if possible? In particular the stocks you've painted?

I can pop up a pic of my own white "mountain gun" today some time. Will have to get other ones when I see people lol. Have also reconditioned a few wooden stocks with good sealer and 2 pack clears they look better than factory.
Cool, only asking as I'm keen to paint a couple stocks and I'm indecisive on what to use? Keen as to see what a painter (you) have come up with?

+2 I'm looking to paint up a plastic shotty for the daughter (She want it in pink), was wondering also, if it can be stripped off again without harming plastic and steel, in case I want to sell it once she grows out of it.................
Having trouble getting pica up. Will sort something out though. Can really do any colour you want. Wouldnt be able to strip it off as i rough it up 2 get it stuck good. Would just repaint it a normal colour again for resale if u wished
