Thread: Educate me on rangefinders

Mate has the Leupold combo binocular range finder with built in rangefinder with angle compensation.
Said he would not go that way again.
I have a 6 year old nikon 900 mtr with angle compensation. Have ranged goats at 450 with it.
I think its rated to aprox 600 mtr for non reflective surfaces (ie matt or green) and 900 mtr for light or reflective colours.
It is a pain to have 2 separate items but if you are sending money on good glass I would keep them separate.
Good glass is forever especially the Leica or similar.
Electronics are superseded and getting lighter every year.
