Endorsement Specific to MSSA

Okay, say you have the relevant endorsement as a result of owning a previously A-Cat hogue style pistol grip AR15 before 11 December 2013.

Now obviously that AR will need to have Endorsement Specific to it being a MSSA.

But say you have another semi auto which will stay as A-Cat according to the Police info, as it has a proper one piece thumbhole stock (and very nice wood at that).

Is it worth getting the Endorsement Specific to that firearm too? As I use it for service rifle shooting too, as the 5 round mags really put me at a disadvantage (so does it being a .308 with no muzzle brake!). Mind you getting 10 or 20 round mags in still might be a pain.

Or shall I leave it as is, with no restictions on me using it for hunting, or allowing other persons to use it? Not too mention being able to sell it to a wider audience than Gunstuff, i.e on Tardme without those admin muppets pulling the auction.

Your thoughts?

The choice between using your gun in a shitty gimped up configuration, or trusting the police not to confiscate it in 10 years and dealing with being unable to sell it easily, lend it to friends, etc. Difficult.

He meant it has no muzzle brake, and probably has no provision for one without cutting off the front sight.

The commissioner is said to have the power to impose conditions upon the general endorsement, there are no bona fide conditions out lined in law that I am aware of. Each endorsement has to be assesses on an individual basis, blanket policy is not kosher. If you do some digging, you will also find that recreational hunting was considered a legit reason by those who drafted the legislation.

I'll see how it goes for my Endorsement and for the AR first.
If the Police play silly buggers and don't list hunting as a condition of the MSSA endorsement, that is my answer there for the still A-Cat Vepr. I'll leave it as is.
Inspection is next week, which is sooner than I thought (still bolting safe down!).

I can't imagine the conditions listed on the license itself. For example if it had "range use only" stamped on it - what range? And if your like me and listed a million reasons you ain't gonna fit that anywhere. There is no legislation stopping you from taking your MSSA for a walk. Any attempt to restrict you to range use will probably have dubious standing in law, and nobody I know has any conditions whatsoever imposed on them.
