Why not become a distributor gimp? You could provide 10 times better service than them, even in your current line of work...

Not enough interest in cool things in NZ, everyone just buys <insert boring overbarrel can here>

Also I don't have 50 grand or whatever to get a good stock of product to start off with

If I want a lightweight hunting suppressor I already know that I want an A-tec or a Roedale

If I want a heavy duty, compact .223 suppressor for a semi-auto that will quick-detach over a compensator, where do I get one of those in NZ? Who in NZ makes a 6" long muzzle can for a .338LM that weighs less than 600gms? Where do I get a suppressor in NZ that has had actual dB reduction testing done? Where do I get a suppressor in NZ that doesn't have uncoated aluminium and stainless internals? Anodic corrosion is pretty hilarious. Where do I get a suppressor in NZ where I can replace the baffles myself at home as it wears, or swap out aluminium baffles for steel ones for hunting vs. range use?

Not to mention the sloppy work/QC I've seen. Not just on suppressors but general gunsmithing work from suppressor makers. IE on my AR15 (barreled by a popular NI suppressor maker) the chamber isn't cut straight, gas port wrong dimension, gasblock to barrel fit sloppy as hell (should be snug), wrong feed ramps in barrel extension.

Not saying ALL NZ MADE SUPPRESSORS ARE SHIT DON'T BUY THEM but there is a lot of interesting, well made stuff out there from Europe etc.

Well, judge for yourself - You can you see, they actually have done testing and supply numbers.

Effective suppression is not solely a function of volume, baffle design also plays a big part.

I need to go visit the gunsmith up the road, but I've got other priorities at the moment so I haven't.

Well why don't you create interest in these superior euro-cans? If they are as life changing as you suggest I'm sure there will be a market. Do it, I'll buy one
