    Exporting magazines .....???

    whats the rules around exporting mags to the states ? ...
    NO MATTER HOW MUCH IT HURTS, HOW DARK IT GETS OR HOW FAR YOU FALL , .....

    I looked up customs , and primary industries websites , and mfat regs ,,,, nothing at all about exporting magazines to the usa ... there is a mag here that is not avalibe in the usa , a mate of mine has asked if I can onsend it .... so far I cant see why not ... not knowing the law is no excuse if im not allowed to , so I guess I will get a hold of my local Ao to see whats up

    Generally if it is leaving NZ then there is not much issue at this end. But getting it into the US could be your problem. It would pay to check with US customs too.

    A mag is a mssa part in some cases so if the mag fits that profile mfat comes into play.
    Also in theory and gun or part over 50(from memory this is the number)years old needs sign off before export under heritage mfat rules.

    MFAT will definitely be involved. We had to apply for anual permits when we were exporting scopes to australia
