Set up to make the wife feel good, perhaps??

Rit loves his Ruger American Frazer. They are pretty damn light about 5.5lb shoot pretty well and are cheap as. I set one up for the old man too in 233 cut to 14” with a can and red dot. Shot a few Roos and pigs with it. I’ve shot a 308 adrianik without a suppressor, nice wee rifle but you’ve got to hang onto them reasonably tight.
Hate those stocks though.
Did you stabilize them with epoxy @Cowboy06?
Another option is a Howa with a carbon stock.
No just as they are. Don’t use a bipod everything standing or kneeling. At pistol range on Sunday, nick had a mint 303 never seen one with such a nice bore. He was smaking everything with it with the open sights standing. He shoots pretty good though that boy.
perfect practice makes perfect!
Have a look at the Howa Alpine Mountain Rifle, 5.7lbs, fully cerakoted and comes with a choice composite Legendary Arms Stock.
Good price for what you get too.
Very happy with mine, chopped to 16” and fitted a DPT overbarrel, carry it all day like it’s not there.
Shoots under an inch with factory ammo, sure it would tighten up even further once I start hand loading for it.

Had 3 people with new ruger americans shooting here at different times all 3 rifles shot sub moa groups from new.
I think gunwork can do a good fluting job on their bolts for the ones looking to take down the weight even further.
