    Getting a FAL

Possum trapper is 15 and wants to know if he can do the mountain safety course now. Then on his 16th get his licence?

Been a while since I got mine so it probably has all changed now. Any info appreciated. Cheers Dundee.

I got started on my 16th birthday, had my H and K .22 about 3 months later. I remember being told that I was not allowed to take my SKS on 6th form out door ed camp! and that I would have to use the teachers .243 to shoot goats instead!

Did the course, paperwork, interviews, inspection, etc, when I was 15, got my licence 2 days after my 16th birthday.

I remember the AO saying something about the mountain safety course certificate only being valid for 6 months.
