Hi there, does anybody know, what is going on with NZ gun law. I keep hearing some rumors that there are some new changes to current law being proposed i.e new definitions of restricted firearms , etc.?

Time will tell.....

There are many rumors floating around, no one really knows.......

In the weekend I heard two different ones from two seperate people high enough in the industry to know.... as it will effect thier bussinesses.... who knows...

I will worry about it once it happens......

They will be what they are and it won't be just "us" trying to figure them out.

From the information I have the reason they have not been already implemented even thought they were passed last December is the Police are still trying to figure out exactly what they mean.

If they don't know then We have no show.

And there is still a court case in progress which could have an effect too

And they did these changes under the guise that it would make the law easier to understand.

Yep there still trying to figure out what is a pistol grip and what isnt. At present it looks like they will go back to the pre butt hole fiasco where all free standing pistol grips on a semi are MSSA/E cat. Thumbholes still A cat. So what the last 2yrs of crap was about -who knows? We are all as confused as the Police are on this one!
