About LinkBacksFinally waiting since October my open sight bucket list deer killing rifle turns up ,will run a Warne QD set up so can run a couple of scopes plus the whole reason open sights .It points nice as pleased 308, hopefully blood next weekend Blue Mountains

Not using it for anything until more ammo arrives in NZ unfortunately (guess thats why it was a good price). The plan is to give me a bit more range on ducks on opening weekend and have a lot of fun at the range with 760grn slugs for the rest of the year!

That is a beauty. What made you choose that calibre?. I am looking at a High Wall in 38-55 for mid-range.

But the 38-50 dose have an advantage over 38/55 being that it will hold 55gn of powder behind a 330gn bullet
A 38-55 will only do 45gn with the same bullet
