Well it's fair hosing down outside so no pretty backdrop but finally picked this up from the gunsmith today after buying it back off @hillclima thanks for looking after her till I came to my senses bud
Most of you know this rifle but for those who don't here's the specs.
Sako a7 chambered in 270wsm
Finnlight 24" fluted barrel
Fluted bolt (gunworks)
Stug carbon fiber stock
Javelin bipod with flush mount bedded into the fore
Maniatis carbon Magnum suppressor
Contessa 20moa rail
Contessa 1" rings
Currently wearing a nikon monarch 4-16×44 but I have something new enroute from Oz (more about that later)
This rifle is a beast and best 3 shot group with my hand loads is .27"
Would also Iike to acknowledge a few good bastards on here that made this build possible. @Ryan_Songhurst @stug

That's even better than an M28 - that is an M28-30. The best Mosin of them all!
Should have a true .308 bore made for Lapua 185grn D46 or D47 projectiles.

Didn't the m28/30 upgrade have strengthening bars added to the nose cap? I thought the M28 was the standard nosecap like in the photos. Originally Posted by fernleaf

My one is one of about 1000 made by Sako. Well the barrel is, Sako assembled all the M28/30s. Using Sig and Tikka barrels mainly.
This one was made in the last year of production, 1935 .
It was never taken into the army ( lacks SA ) instead it just has SKY ( Civil guard) stamp.
It could have been issued to a reserve who never used it, then the reserve bought it and it sat in the cupboard. All the cosmoline had turned to varnish and it took a few liters of petrol to shift it all.
Keen to see how well it shoots.
