You're onto it.... For some reason when I took the 1" talleys off to put the 30mm ones on the very front screw just snapped off while I was undoing it. Thought I would drill it out so set it up in the press and put a wee bit of tape around the drill bit so I knew how far to drill. Everything was working excellent when it went pop! and broke right through the chamber. Bloody tape had slid up the drill bit and I didnt notice so I had drilled a hole right down through the barrel into the chamber. Lucky the wife was in a good mood and I did a particularly good puppy dog face with my broken rifle in my hand so I shot into town and bought another Superlight they had on the shelf at our local sportshop. Will get the original one rebarelled just not sure what, something that stands apart from the 308 (which is a bit of an ask as they just do everything..) and will feed from the mag. A 243 or 6 creed superlight would be cool. I have plenty of components for one.

RS, Can you could fill the hole with a silver solder, push the chamber in a turn and a a half so the hole in barrel doesn't line up with the ring screw hole?
