    Nice X-Bolt!

I sold a couple of those in Canada when they first came out. Real nice looking. Was very tempted to get one myself.
Hunting is not a hobby.....its an addiction

Thanks Scouser, I just bought a section in Invercargill and plan to be back living in NZ (after 30 years) full time from mid 2015 so I may be looking for some "mountaineering hunter" mates to explore the Southern Alps if you are keen.

Are you from the Blue half or Red half of Liverpool ?

Heres the new go to rifle, after having built a few done as varmiters was time to do a lighter one.
To sort of bring the hunting back into the shooting, was getting over the range, dial boom wander over and retreive, dont get me wrong its a cool feeling knowing it all works well as a system.

But now time to down size and stalk in more for better photos as i shoot way more with camera now then with the gun.

    Anyway...........

Remington 700 s/a base, trued, shimmed bolt and tac bolt handle, straight fluted bolt, lightweight firing pin assembly
(To be replaced in few weeks )
Jewel trigger with no saftey set at 1lbs
Senator 75 carbon stock, duracoated desert tan
    Bartlein 1.8", 24" carbon wrapped barrel chambered in 6mm x 47 Lapua throated to suit 105gr a-max
Carbon over size can so it just farts @ 282grams
March 2.5-25x42 tac with duplex reticle
    Tally rings lapped and pinned

Its a nice 3059grams with can ready to go, will drop bit in the action change but its nice and well ballanced also

Still makes pointing and shooting easy but its nice and user friendly
