Normal sling it's actually shorter than most bush guns or an AR sling .its no problem how many hunters carry AR 15 s in the bush plenty I'd guess and globally thousands not just deer hunting either .formula is already proven I guess.

Ok. I was wondering more about the "ready to shoot" position. Like when you are in a hot spot.
With a conventional stock the safty/bolt knob is within reach without moving your hands from a carrying position. Those are the only stocks I have ever used so I am just curious.
Experience. What you get just after you needed it.

I usually shoot with a good mate. We play your turn my turn. So see deer get into position he or me loads not both so it's just normal ID target make decision. It's actually really a comfortable carry gun . Shame you not closer I d say come have a look see
    Cheers

That recoil pad certainly looks 100% kiwi!
The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds

The DTR is an evolution of the ermaSR 100 sniper rifle, where you could swap barrels, mags and bolts to go from 308 to 300 wm or 338 lapua.
The French silencer manufacturer, Stopson , offered the option of having that rifle with a 510 anthis barrel,( same bolt as 338 lapua)which is actually a copy of the 500 whisper from JD Jones. All that was happening in the mid 90's.
So the concept is not that new. But it still make for an interesting combo to own and have fun with :-)
