Its finished, just completed my CZ 527 in .17 Hornet with GRS Sporter/Varminter stock
I'm very happy, this is amazing to use, and very accurate. As GRS don't do the inletting for a CZ527, I purchased a blank and had the inletting done here.
    New scope next year.

    That looks tougher than Maca's.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

Yea the stock was not quite what it was meant to be, might have to sort that gloss level at some time.

Found this 22 magnum on trademe the other day, probably the best rifle deal I've ever got. We already have a 22mag of this model, and when I saw this online I was hoping to get it, because our one works bloody well.

Its a H&R Model 700. and it arrived in mint condition! Came with about 175 rounds, 2 five shot and 1 ten shot mag, a Bushnell 3-9 scope. Roughly sighted it in the other day, easily grouping within 2 inches at 100m in windy conditions and a heavy trigger. Will get trigger done and expect it to have an instant result in group size. Fired about 30-40 rounds thru it and it is as reliable as our other one, not a single misfire or jam. Pretty stoked with it. It'd be 30+ years old now, was considering chopping it a bit and suppressing it, but because its so tidy I think I'll leave it as factory.

And not new, but I recently gave my everyday rifle A-bolt .280 a revamp, because I felt like it. Tidied stock up, fitted a new DPT suppressor and a Zeiss HD5 3-15x50 scope. Came up mint, kind of feels like a new rifle now. Haha.

Looks good... tell me about the setup... I am looking at doing something with an A7 as well..

I assume an aftermarket barrel in 6.5 for your GAP?

What action length and mag did u use, and what effect on capacity and feeding?

Did u use a WSM action or did u modify a bolt face for the SAUM case? Any issues with that?

    Cheers

Built it on a s/h A7 300WSM short action use the original mag, fitted a old 6.5 f-class barrel (trueflite 1x8.5) with the throat shot out(was 30" bull barrel now 24"), hoping to 800 to 1000 rnds from it(maybe), had real problems getting original stock to shoot and comb way too low. Now getting constant 1/2MOA groups with quite a slim profile barrel, 140gn A-Max x ADI2217= 3055fps was hoping to get to the 3100fps but not with this barrel(maybe too many rounds previously). Went together quite easily only problem was the stock, some people get them to shoot no me, too flexible no consistency.
