About LinkBacksFinally got the new savage 223 chopped and threaded. Got it back this evening, so with perfect conditions outside, I quickly swapped the scope over from the remington, and popped over to the farm for a bit of a test-fire and sight-in.
Initial results very promising, and it's lovely to shoot.
Both groups were the same load, but I tried a different shooting style for each. (bipod tension vs relaxed hold). Seems to prefer the stress-free approach.
Wasn't allowing any time between shots for the barrel and can to cool, as the sandflies were in full force. All the same, I suspect it might be a shooter..
