Hehe - I have to say after spraying .22 all over the place at the range, the .308 felt like quite a thump :pacman:
After putting 15 rounds through running the barrel in somewhat, this was my first 3 shot group (only at 25m mind - I wish I could say it was 100!) Its about 6 inches up on point of aim so am going to see how that translates to 100m. Ran out of time on sunday sadly but will get back next week. Now enough of my crappy shooting, someone post some more gun pics.Attachment 21497
Not much to brag about but pretty happy with my new Boyds stock on the 6.5. The old one was one of those crappy plastic jobbies with the disintegrating neoprene pads. Love the rifle so tarted her up with a Boyds and sealed her with 3 coats of Tru-Oil. Pretty happy

What are ya gonna do with the plastic stock?
Dunno actually. I repair my own motorbike fairings on my Africa Twin (I ride it like a demon :) ) so I was thinking about melting it down for repair plastic. It actually snapped through the hand grip when the original owner arsed over in the bush and landed on it. I drilled from the bottom of the grip up behind the trigger and epoxied in a steel rod to rebuild it. It was fine, but just real sloppy under the barrel.
Bugger about snapping it, melt it up :)
