    Cool Gun Skins!?!

Bit of a snow day activity, got a sweet deal for these Gunskins so I thought "why the hell not??" Banged them on my Tikka's last night. A couple of imperfections here and there but they do the trick. Will be interesting to see how they hold up, as I haven't used them before.

    Anyone else used these??

Good way to individualise your rifles.
    How do you apply them?

Experience. What you get just after you needed it.

Yeah mate, something a little different. They are a vinyl rap.
    1. Use alcohol wipes or similar to clean the surface
    2. If you don't have a spec gun skin - cut vinyl to shape
    3. Apply - Use a heat gun or blow drier to make vinyl mouldable/stick.
    4. Heat entire application and touch up.
    - ended up using a blow drier and then doing 4. Over the fire because we currently have now power Lol.

Nice and simple(ish) I had to make the skin up for the LSS chassis. Rifle stock came as a "gunskin".
Buggered up the gun skin a little bit, but it's quite user friendly - just patched up where I had over trimmed little along the top of the stock.

Now I just have to re-torque and zero. But it's still snowing ATM.

I didn't use heat on mine, except on real curvey buts around the stock. You don't need to do it on a scope.

That's a pretty good job for no heat! Heat helped with all the creasing big/small and moulded the vinyl to the stocks grip etc.
