    Gunsmiths in or near Rotorua

I've recently moved down this way, Can any locals recommend any gunsmiths around here?
What's the service at Gunsupplies like? Jobs are making a thread protector for an unknown (tried all the common threads) threaded muzzle. Then lightening a mini 30 trigger. Possibly barreling a M1917 at some stage as well.

Gun Supplies are expensive. $200 to shorten and thread a barrel, their work is pretty good though. You could try Dean Maisy in tauranga.

    That's what I don't know.
    Tried 5/8x 24 and 9/16 x 28.
Thread gauges show it's close to but not m16x1. Rifle came with a hardy's can but doesn't state the thread size and the last owner didn't know either.

Measure the OD with verniers could be M14x1 pretty common size, Gun supplies will have these on the shelf.
If you get stuck PM me, I can measure for you (fitter/turner by trade) have all thread measuring gear.
As for your trigger Gun Supplies will just want to sell you an after market one and fit it. So for that yeah try Dean Maisy for that.
