Hardy Hybrid and NX8 Brief Review

Went and picked up the Hybrid in .300PRC topped with a 4-32x50 Nightforce NX8 last week from Hardys direct.

Big story as to why i ended up with a Hybrid.... should have done it in the first place in hindsight after an unfortunate 8 months of waiting for another rifle that may or may not have been ready by year end.....

Placed order during lock down and received during July!

Communication and advice during the build was great, even got some update photos of build progress.

Final delivery was in the form of a full boxed kit, warranty, Tools, and manual that couldnt be simpler or more in depth either.

Shot it yesterday, from scope mounting to “into the black” was 3 rounds, in the black and MOA. Shot a heap of rounds following the manuals “run in” instructions and the performance was impressive. Im not a good shooter but still managed MOA/Sub Moa with the factory Hunter ammo.

For a super light rife, the balance and muzzle break efficiency meant i could fire the PRC all day without feeling it. Whereas i usually get a bit worn out after a bunch of rounds

Really impressed and would recommend again

Now to save for a 6.5PRC suppressed barrel!

Re the NX8 - worth every penny, flawless tracking, glass id say close to ATACR. A little heavy but aok for topping a light rig. i really liked the FFP!

You can't beat a positive story about a good gun! Wonderful.

What are your thoughts about the bi-pod?

What does it weigh without scope? And is POI consistent after removing barrel?

I got Hardy rifle to turn my Tikka 7 Rem mag into a 6.5 PRC with a carbon wrapped barrel, suppressor and carbon fiber stock. Awesome service and this rifle is a tack driver.
    Great company to deal with

its growing on me. really solid and light! its mounting with the pic front mount is great!.... im old school so its hard for me to shake the Harris but im ok with this! wont be carrying with the bipod attached so not a big deal. comes on and off real easy. really high quality. i dont like super light flimsy shit on the front of my rifles.

Glad your pleased with your hybrid!
Those nx8 have the same glass as the atacr so I have been told by aussie nightforce lads.
I have just bought the 2.5x22x50 and rate that as the ultimate all round scope for a hunting rig.
I love mine and are definitely enjoying the mils and ffp
