Help - Double decker Scope/thermal mounting 223

I have got a Burris BTS50 thermal scope that mounts to a rail.
I want to be able to mount this scope on top of my existing Vortex scope on my howa mini 223.

What do I need and where can i get this?

What I imaging I need is 1" scope rings with upside down rail, so this can attach to the existing scope tube and the Burris sit/mount onto. (yes it will be high mounted)

I know this can put strain on the main scope tube, however the rifle is very low recoil 223 with suppressor. I want to be able to use the rifle as per normal in the day with the vortex scope and at night pop the Burris thermal scope on top.

Can you make a suggestion or even a link to what I need? Thanks

Theres a good chance the Burris thermo scope will run out of elevation for zero sitting on top of yr day scope.Its designed as a dedicated main rifle scope.Not to sit on top of another scope.

You can find similar on Trod me for $9 each. It will be a hell of a job to get it working properly, your probably better off getting some QD return to zero rings and swapping scopes out.

Guide TA 435,Burris make the same thing.Best thing is no zeroing.

I think You are all right, I need to make this a dedicated Thermal rifle. I will try get hold of a Picatinny rail for my howa mini 223 and mount it all up.
You can still shoot in day light with it but not quickly.

Now to find a howa mini rail somewhere?

55six have them on their website, that's where I got mine from.

A pic rail and qd mounts for your scope would probably be easier.

Scope rings with pic bases on top are readily available, however getting 2 sets of rings on your scope and having the spacing line up with the bases on your thermal may be a little challenging.
