Not a fan sorry. They changed too much from the A-Bolt and just made a cheaper rifle.

Any knocks on the timber just add character, and most can be repaired anyway.

The Savage lightweights are downright lovely to handle and use, particularly with the wood stock. (haven't handled the synthetic version) Good triggers, safety etc too.
    They would be my pick.

CZ's are nice and agile, but single-stack mags can stick into your back a bit when carrying.. Safety operating in reverse might confuse you a bit for a start.

Rems are good solid performers. Despite some claims, the factory triggers can be worked to be very nice. Downside is that most are floorplate models, hard to find a detachable mag one.

Savage 16 Trophy Hunter (almost same as weather warrior) are a good option too. 6.5lbs bare. Not quite as pointable as the lightweight, but still very usable.

What about Sauer 100/101? they seem pretty nice, fairly well priced too.

edit: looks like they have 1:10 twist, so I guess it depends on how heavy you want to go on the projectiles

Reloaders in Auckland have them, not that it helps you put your mitts on one

Not quite. Bit like saying your cousin is still hot. Horrible mag release. They loose mags like Tikka's loose bolts

Pretty sure @Tahr has a Savage.

Howa mini action has a super chunky stock, not particularly nice to hold. Triggers leave a bit to be desired too. Buy a spare mag..

Should add, if you're ever passing through Fairlie, feel free to get in touch and I can put a lightweight hunter, a trophy hunter, or a rem SPS in your hands to have a wee play with.

Cut the release down, get a stug stock and a timney trigger.

    You can’t have it all.

Don't want to feck around with changing anything to be fair. If I wanted to change things up I'd just build another custom.
I like having my cake and eating it too

It'll be a tool not a Flash Harry bling bling wall mount. But it needs to be a good shooter out of the box.
