Help with paint selection for new LR gun

    Guys,

Got a new build under way and have settled on everything but the colour I want the bloody thing finished in.

I find the component list really easy to select but I always struggle with what colours etc to have it finished in.

The stock is an adjustable T4A Manners so it will end up looking pretty tactical.

Has anyone seen or found some images that they really liked how the rifle was finished?

If yes post them up so I can have a look.

    And please......no penises.

    Thanks

I just like the natural look if possible, Black is good

I haven't paid much attention to painted rifles, but the ones I have seen the finish looked a bit tatty from use.

Obviously some coatings are better than others.

Being simple myself, I like to try & keep stuff simple, as much as possible

Interesting that not many people have posted. Do most not care or can't be bothered? Those that have had their rifles painted what colours have you done it and why?

I liked Norway's paint job on the Tiny Sako Project as well.

I was wondering the same thing

Ive been scrolling through the Snipers Hide forum looking at paint jobs and most of them are running camo themes of some description. They look a bit too 'Rambo' for me though with the exception of maybe the Desert camo jobs that are a bit more discreet.

    Decisions decisions.

It's being built in the States so its probably a bit silly to have it shipped to me only to have it sent off again for finishing. Sorry, I should have specified that in my original post.

Although I believe GAP do offer a dipping option. I should look into that a bit further.

At this stage I'm thinking its got to be done in Cerakote though.

Hydro dipping is only as tough as the clear coat they use,I use LIC 43. very tough paint, stuff they paint digger buckets with, that tough enough.

I saved this pic (stolen off the net - sorry to who ever owns the rights to it) as I think it looks the bees knees!

It looks like a really well put together hunting combo, if only they'd put some X-Low talley's on it instead off those stupid high ones.

Poor bastard probably just popped into the woods to take a shit and left wondering who the perverts taking photos of him doing the deed were.
Still no wiser to the age old question.
