I think match chambers are a bit of a marketing trick really. A 'pencil barrel" CZ457 I had for a while shot astoundingly well, it was a real "barrel lottery" winner. This particular 457 would hold its own with any fancy pants/expensive match rifle although it was a difficult rifle to shoot well being light and with the flexible synthetic stock. No match chamber. The Lithgow LA101 22s don't have a match chamber and usually shoot incredibly well. My Ruger 10/22 HB doesn't have a match chamber and some years ago beat all comers in a forum postal shoot.
By contrast I've had two EM322s here with match chambers, as has been mentioned they were hopeless for a hunting rifle and wre not particularly accurate. A cobber has a CZ457 with a HB and match chamber and it does shoot extremely well, but unless I was shooting matches (and that's all) I wouldn't bother with one.
