Yes, its instructive that the Police are SO fixed on keeping control of the Gun Register.

Why? So they can nosy into the lives of us law-abiding citizens. Rather than focussing on the known criminals.

If the Gun Register is to continue, what does it matter if an Independent Body runs and manages it? A REGISTER will keep firearms out of the wrong hands - or so said the Police in lobbying for it. Nothing at that time sad by the Police about also having to control the Register.
