How to get rid of marks on scope

    Hey Again Guys,

We had to move scope rings, and that has left some marks on the scope. Anyone know how to remove them? Its a matte scope.

    Thanks!

Yep they are probably there to stay best you can do is try and make them look a little better try some Black marker on the offending areas. If it looks worse take the black off with some turps etc.

Yeah, I don't know how well its going to work with nail polish though, I think that's equivalent of me spraying painting it. Thanks though, will give a go with Vivid once I buy it (for some reason all I have is whiteboard markers and I don't even have a whiteboard!).

The easy fix is not to squash the scope tube in the first place. The Burris Signature rings with the self-aligning inserts grip the scope well but leave no marks. Wellll, I guess the occasional gorilla with a breaker bar and metre-long pipe extension might manage it..
