How Many Rounds A Year ?

I was just having a tally up of how many rounds a year I shoot .
Hunting I would be lucky to shoot 100 a year and the vast majority of that would be small game Rabbits/ Possums .
Target shooting is somewhere in the region of 2000 rounds , the vast majority of that is Clay Targets with maybe 100 rounds of rifle shooting to sight them in - check the zero etc .
How many does everyone else shoot ?
FALL IN LOVE WITH THE NUMBERS , NOT THE IDEA

the red queen/stalinda will have her minions reading this so they can use information to cap the amount we allowed to possess in future.

.223 50-200 rounds per year....can go 50 rounds in day at times
other large calibres 10-50 rounds per year

Things have changed since the law change, but my last 2 years useage would have been around 2500x 22LR, 400x shotgun, 30x .303, 600x 7.62x39.

A competitive clay bird shooter could easily use over 3000 per year possibly even double that. I play around at sporting clays and use 6 slabs a year.
Small bore shooters when i did it it was a box a night once a week.
Pistol shooters at least the ones i know are quite large consumers of ammunition
Pest controllers not unusual to go through well over a hundred in a night.
Some recreational hunters / shooters might use only 10 rounds a year others several hundred spread across multiple calbres.
Personally it's quite a bit several thousand 223 and 22 at least not counting bigger stuff but it's my choice and the reasons are in no particular order recreation, pest control for economic reasons, hunting for meat, and competition. I don't mind putting them up here but I'll be damned if I would tolerate having a cap put on the amount I used by some shiny arse who thought I was using too much.

    Interesting.

In the last month I've done just shy of 1500 rounds from my 40.

So I'd be 10k+ a year for 40 that's both training and comps. Then the old hand cannon 45 would be 2k.

    Rifle.

I'd be 100 for hunting and 500 for load development and practice. That's centre fires as I dont own a rim fire just yet.

I know of other people who enjoy the short barreled variety and would shoot a minimum of 5k in practice alone.

I'd b over a 1000 rounds of 223 2-3000 of 17hmr and prob 2-3 slabs of shotgun ammo a year easy and prob 60-70 of 270 all hunting and pest control

I don't keep count, but 22LR will be quite a lot - plinking, and practicing fundamentals - I'd send 100+ rounds easy in a weekend. Rabbit shooting depends on numbers about sometimes you can burn through ammo on pest control.
6.5cm less - hunting might not get a shot off in a month or 2, targets 20 or so in a session. maybe 150 - 250 a year?

Well - Last year I seemed to purchase more than I use - however last 12 months - be about 5k/.22 1k/.22WMR 300/270 300/22-250 500/Other - plus reloading components sufficient for about 5k. I can get though 100/.22 in the shed at night regularly.

I am not in the slightest worried about the commies knowing what I use - my big concern is they will come out with a ridiculous limit - as they will not understand that some use more than others - and a desk jock who uses no ammo in Wellington will think that should be the limit.
