how many of you bought a new rifle to avoid the registration from tomorrow?

I picked up a little ruger ranch 5.56 today, been meaning to get one for a while but finally got the shove by realising after tomorrow buying a rifle means 30 days then registry. How many of you lot did the same?

Yep just got it paid and shipped...after a bit of a problem with the local police station losing my form 43a (online firearm purchase form).
It's the second time the local station has lost this form, but I got it sorted out with the Arms Officer in Tauranga so it was all successfully completed today.

Brought a couple at the auction last weekend
But they will be registered by mid next week
I am not in the business of delaying the inevitable

I was cracking up at the auction at what people were paying for ammunition old 30 or 40 year old ammunition was going for the same or more than brand new shop prices it wasn’t valued collectors ammunition either
It was hilarious considering buying ammunition from the shop dosn’t trigger the notification period anyway

few will probably loose their fal when they without understanding trigger the notification period and run out their 30 days

Each to their own but im just gonna do it (after much consideration) I don’t see any point in mucking around

There are always headaches with a new online system of registration - bugs and problems that in 6 months will be mostly ironed out.

Didn't give it a thought. Hauled my lot out today and started recording their intimate details. Will do the on-line thing when I'm relaxed and in the right frame of mind. Fortunately we have the luxury of time if we don't trigger it. I would rather get it behind me sooner than later. Don't see much point in hand wringing over the inevitable.

    Guilty

However I've always kept an excel spreadsheet of all my guns, for my own insurance reasons.

Without sounding like a dick can someone please school me up on the issue of the registration?
I’m struggling to see the problem with the registration process if you’re a law abiding citizen? Cheers

You all remember what happened to people who went out and bought AR's before they got banned?
