    ID of 22 bolt

A mate found this at a junk shop - any ideas of what it might be from?

Yeh, the cocking piece looks very much the same as my brother's old BSA Sportsman 15

Bet that junk shop didn't know what they had. Jeez, trading in major firearms components without a licence

I was thinking the same, doesn't look American to me or any of the other 'cheaper' makers but can't recall seeing a BSA bolt like that so I put forward that I am unsure and cannot help.

    Isn’t a receiver that’s a major firearms part, not a bolt ?

All the bsa rimfires ive had the bolt didnt have those grooves in it and they have safe and fire written on the back as you twist the cocking piece for the safety. My guess would be a springfield or similar. My slazenger bolt doesnt look like that one either

I'm looking at the bolt from a BSA Sportsman 15 and it's definitely not from that model. I was thinking it might be from a single shot given the cocking knob and possibly an Anschutz.

Feedback from another forum was that in might be from a Sportco Mod 40 (single shot) or Mod 43 (repeater)
