NZ Post used to be somewhat accommodating, since they moved into their new facility, they have a rigid policy in place that they will not deviate from. Case in point, NZ Courier's collect parcels from the reception at the mail center every day, and they asked if I could have the item moved to the reception so they could pick it up at the same time, as they can't afford to sit around waiting. NZP refused to move the item from the international mail center to the reception because it's a "security risk" and doesn't follow their outlined procedure.
They need a rocket !! Maybe let Nicole McKee know about this
Previously they were awesome and it was seamless. Time will tell if they will make an "exception" for me. @chainsaw I understand for the lovely people outside of Auckland that its normal process, but I work 5 minutes away and surely me picking up my restricted firearm part in more secure. Hopefully they begin to see sense and change their "policy"
I got a reply from NZ Post and they saw some logic in my request and agreed to making an exception.
Got the trigger installed and it's awesome, I would highly recommend it.

This makes interesting reading, regarding NZ Post's obligations. https://www.mbie.govt.nz/science-and...-understanding
Talk to the cops about it
What pisses me off is that when you order an item from abroad and pay for it to be delivered to your doorstep, the nz post does not fulfill its part of the contract, which is meant to be transport and delivery to your doorstep . And on top of that we have organise pick up at their distribution center either by organising a courrier or physically getting there.
My box of projectiles are still sitting in Auckland I made 2 follow up phone calls with no replies from Nz post very pissed off and just cut my losses

Been there, done that with a Boyds stock. NZ Post after getting their hands on it flatly refused to send it. Said I had to arrange a courier.
Long story short, not 1 single courier company would pick it up. And as has been already pointed out, the freight companies weren't permitted by NZ Post to collect it.
I had to front up in person at the International Mail Centre, all the way from Hastings to Auckland, and then spend 2 hours trying to get into the NZ Post depot to pick it up and drive back to Hastings.
All for a lump of wood as inert as a cricket bat......... never again, although self collection now seems a "no go" as well
Rant over sorry guys![]()

So I have just emailed a few people about this issue. If we all spend as much time in this thread and emailed a couple MPs about this something may actually get done.
It takes a few seconds to explain this effectively a companies decision to via policy soft ban firearms related imports even though it is legal. They also have been paid to provide a service and are not doing so.
I was about to say, maybe we should do something about it vs just moaning. Which people did you email?
