You will need a import permit,if your intending installing either of those parts on a E cat rifle ...Customs may also stop your shipment and ask if parts are intended for a A cat rifle, request you confirm with your AO that parts are for a A cat rifle ,then have your AO email customs also confirming this ,then customs will release your package ... well this is how I've gone about it in the past and is the process I went through last week

Further to what seano said, I usually email Dan at Auckland Airport Customs with the Brownells confirmation details once its arrived in NZ (use the tracking) and a photo of the A-Cat rifle/lower as proof.
So Dan just sends to me straight away. He's good to deal with.

Cheers guys, next question is, does the cost of the parts have to be under the $100 or does it have to be parts plus shipping has to be under $100? Also what shipping option does everyone use?
    Cheers

    $100 is cost excluding shipping.
Choose the 'Parcel Post Priority Mail International' option.
