    Importing scopes from Australia question.

Tried the search and no luck.

So I am looking at getting a scope from Aus, can I get a scope from there without any export licences or is there more to it?

I would be surprised if Australia worked out cheaper for a scope that you couldn't get here.
Don't know what your after but if it's under the customers tax limit I have used this place 3 times so far.

Thanks guys, I just bought a second hand / unused Nightforce NXS compact 2.5-10x42 zerostop MOAR, very cheap. Sent to my bro in WA, he's bringing it over in October when on holiday with the family so I got it sorted now. It was a toss up between the Nightforce or a Vortex Razor HD gen2 1-6x24 for my 300 Blackout.

I've mentioned this to others, who weren't interested in the Australian laws.

You need a Defence Export Permit to Export ANY firearm accessories from Australia.

I would strongly recommend that your brother obtain one of those, they are free of charge.

I know many people have and continue to Export many accessories from Australia without the required documents. Is it worth the risk for a free Permit?
