    Importing scopes these days

What's the go these days? Can you? Can't you? With paperwork? Best places? From the US? From Europe? From Australia?

This is a significant question. I know that you dont need an import permit, and that Nz Post wont take them. I am afraid that USPS will hand over to NZ post when it gets to NZ and they will refuse it. I have no more knowledge than this, I would also like to know of any recent experiences.

Yep, recently bought in a VX5 3-15x44 from the US at considerably less than what we pay here in NZ

I’ve bought in plenty of scopes into NZ over the years and nothing has changed

I had nil issues with delivery, it did get intercepted by customs when it came into NZ and that’s been pretty normal for me when items were in excess of NZ$1000

Duties were paid and I received the scope in the mail.

I've sent several scopes to N.Z in the last few weeks by Australia post all have been delivered.
It's not all of them, but it's always them.

People are bringing thermal scopes in from China without any problems.
Restraint is the better part of dignity. Don't justify getting even. Do not do unto others as they do unto you if it will cause harm.
