JW15 firing issues
A friend of mine has a JW15 that won't fire anymore. I have had a quick look at it and this is what I have found.
Firing pin makes a dent in the rim of the cartridge but not as deep as my old JW15.

The dent is a funny shape, not a sharply defined one (one dent from old rifle and the other two from this one)
The firing pin looks like it might have been chipped? I haven't got another to compare it too.

Everything else functions as it should, am I on the right track thinking it's a broken firing pin resulting in it not setting off the round?
-
Think your on right track. Dry fired bit too much perhaps?
-
Maybe, it's pretty rough all over this on. I might give it a good clean up inside the bolt body and see if anything changes before I go ordering parts.
-
Will your bolt function properly in his rifle and vice versa??? Definitely eliminate other possible issues if they do.
-
I don't have mine anymore so can't compare unfortunately. I cleaned all the crud out of the bolt, action and chamber. Haven't tried to fire it yet so I might try that next.
The firing pin spring might be tired? That firing pin still looks wrong to me though.
